DIY zero waste Cashew Milk

Soak 1 cup of broken Cashews (obtained at your local zero waste shop, i.e baselunverpackt in 2 cups of water overnight.

In a blender, food processor or hand held blender, blend until a milky consistency is reached (in a kenwood blender this takes about 5 minutes). Add a a pinch of salt and/or small amount of desired sweetener (we used diluted honey). Mix again.

Pour into either a special bag (nutbag) for making plant based milks, or into a large French Press for coffee. Slowly press the liquid away from leftover solids, pour liquid into a container and dry the remaining solids, which will result in cashew powder/ flour for baking etc.!
